All About Me

Ok...since you clicked this link, something on the first page must have made you want to learn more...interesting...very interesting....but since you want to know, I guess I'll tell you!

First....a little information all about me. My name is April, and for the last two years I have been teaching 6-12 band and music technology in the Kuna School District. For this coming fall however, I will only be teaching beginning band and junior high music. This consists of 6th grade beginning band, 7th grade concert band, 8th grade symphonic band, guitar, choir and music exploratory. The best part is I will be in only one building everyday, instead of 3!!

Kuna is a school district about 4 times the size of New Plymouth where I used to teach! This last fall (2000) we marched to the music of "Indiana Jones" and did a great job on the field!

I graduated from Boise State University in the spring of 1995 after student teaching in the Caldwell and Kuna school districts. Yes, thats right..I'm currently teaching where I student taught. I really love it here. This summer (2001) I graduated with my masters degree in music education from the American Band College of Southern Oregon University. Be sure to check out the link to their web page in my links section.

I currently live in Boise, ID and I'm a percussionist most of the time, but have been known to occasionally play clarinet, saxophone, piano, and a little trumpet. My parents live in Meridian Idaho, and my sister and her husband live in Boise.
