Memory Verse:  Who knows, you may have been chosen queen for just such a time as this.  Esther 4:14

Study Notes:
Memory verses:  Children  should repeat the memory verse several times each day to really learn and remember it.  We study it at school,  but if it is not studied at home also, the children will not know it well.   Discuss the importance of memorizing God's word and the meaning of the verse.  Share with them times when knowing a verse has been encouraging to you.  The whole family can say the verse with them at breakfast or supper.  Make memory verse learning a fun and rewarding experience for your precious child.
A test is given on the memory verse at school on Thursday morning.  Children who study both at home and at school do very well and are proud of themselves.
Spelling words:  Children should study their list daily.  Have them read the list to you several times both in and out of order.  Then they can use the look, cover, write, check method to study alone.  In addition to this an adult should have them practice spelling the words out loud.  The children study their list at school, but most need to study at home also.  Some children are not doing well on their Friday tests.  Children who study both at home and at school nearly always get 100 % on their Friday tests.
Reading homework:  The child should read the reading selection outloud 3 times to an adult
before answering any questions that accompany the reading.
