We have just completed our Shobayashi Karate Handbook.  It is filled with over 35 pages of items like promotion requirements, ippon kumite, Japanese terms, and much more.  We are selling them for $15 or free if you sign up for 6 months of karate lessons.

There are 3 books we highly recommend.  The first is "My Journey with the Grandmaster" written by Bill Hayes, Sensei (based on his training with Eizo Shimabukuro); the next one is "Okinawan Karate: Teachers, Styles, and secret techniques" by Mark Bishop; and the last book was written by Morio Higaonna titled "The History of Karate". It is based on the history of goju-ryu as well as Okinawan history.  All of these and others are available through our dojo.
