I dont think there is a single film out there that got my attention anymore than The Crow. The Crow combines so many element such as drama, revenge, love, action, horror, and comedy. As a few people have said The Crow is a love story for guys. While I wasnt a big fan of The Crow: City of Angels, mainly because Miramax hacked a good portion of the film away. I did enjoy The Crow: Salvation starring Eric Mabius(Resident Evil), and Kristen Dunst (DIE DIE DIE !).

I have had alot of interesting experiences from running my Crow site. I was in SPIN and Wizard magazine in articles covering the boycott against Miramax for their treatment of The Crow: Salvation in Spokane. To later talking with Miramax helping them promote The Crow DVD Box Set, which lacked a few features, but politics and behind the scenes bullshit prevented some features from being on there. I had the pleasure of hosting chats with Bridget Baiss, the author of The Crow: The Story Behind The Film, Bryce Zabel, the executive producer of The Crow: Stairway To Heaven, and Jeff Most, the producer of all three crow movies and soundtracks.

The Crow: Stairway To Heaven TV series was a show that was unjustly cancelled. The merger of Polygram and Universal was one of the factors leading to the cancellation. Universal only wanted the music division of Polygram as they were planning on exiting the TV business the following year. Another factor leading to the cancellation of the show was Columbine, even though the TV series was more about redemption than revenge. During the season I got to become good friends with the executive producer Bryce Zabel who provided me a lot of information about upcoming episodes and what not. Bryce also sent me a few goodies which are really hard to get your hands on, try going to your local record store and finding The Crow: Stairway To Heaven soundtrack. It's a shame some people were really turned off by the first episode, because it was a watered down version of the first movie. I think you have to start somewhere and as the season progessed it went into its own direction.
The Crow: Salvation was sent to Spokane, WA for a "test run" to see if it would do well at the national level. The real story is the film was sent to Spokane to die, but thats a long story I am not going to get into. I contacted the AMC 20 in Spokane to see if I could help them promote the test run. Well we decided on setting up a booth since I had enough Crow stuff, and help answer some questions about the movies and what not. The marketing director managed to bring in Eric Mabius the lead star to sign autographs. Jeff Most and another producer came up here to see how the film was doing even though they kinda figured it wouldnt get much traffic since Miramax only ran a dinky little ad in the newspaper. However all in all we had fun.
