Wyld Illuzions
Presents an F4
Litter
from
|
| This is
a long awaited litter. With Libby's wild face, eyes, walk, and
conformation and Eddy's rosettes, clear coat, contrast, and gold eyes,
we are looking forward to some lovely babies. Libby gave birth to
7 babies but her instincts, having been hand raised for almost the
first 3 weeks, are just not quite adequate for tiny babies. She
seemed to want to do the right thing, purred and was nursing and
fussing over them, but she was too rough when she moved them around in
the birthing box. We rescued 4 out of the original 7 (one had
some sort of breathing difficulties and wouldn't have made it).
She had injured one seriously and there were two quite tiny. The
injured girl and the other tiny boy didn't make it past the first 24
hours leaving one nice large girl and a tiny boy who at 10 days is
still fighting and refusing to give up. My friend, Gail, at
Absolutely Bengals, had a Bengal mom (whose six babies are 4 days
older) who has adopted our 2 and is raising them with her own
babies. Gail is supplementing them as the mom kitty ended up with
a C-Section and the kittens needed help until she was ready to take
them on, plus one of her babies is also quite small. There are no words to thank Gail for what she's doing for our babies. I may keep them both but will definately be keeping Duma, the little girl. I have not decided whether or not be rebreed Libby. (Update. I have decided to not breed Libby again. She will be spayed and stay as our pet. |

| Here
are the babies at about 2.5 (mine - Gail's babies would be about 3
weeks here). Duma is facing away from the camera on the right
side
of the photo, right behind the kitten closest to the camera. Tiny
Tim is facing the camera on the left. Our little Tim may need
surgery and we are just not sure of his prognosis at this time.

And presenting: Illuzions Kibeti Duma ("Small
Cheetah")
Duma at one month

Isn't she adorable? We watched Disneys movie, Cheetah, just after they were born;
and, I decided to name her after the orphaned Cheetah in the
movie. It is clear here that her "killer" instincts are in
tact. Check out the nice whisker pads and shoulder rosettes. I
just can't wait to see her again. It is so hard not being a part
of their daily routein and developement.
