Atmosphere

 

As we look at our planet from space the most noticable features are not the land that we live on called continents. The most conspicuous features are floating clouds suspended above the earth's great surface. The beautiful blue color is the earth's atmosphere, it is a life-giving blanket of air that is hundreds of miles thick, and it is an essential part of our planet.
