We are just about ready to fire it up
Aaron putting the spark plug wires on, I'm still taking pictures.
Aaron helped me build this truck from scratch. Without him I could not have got it done in time for the hot rod run .
Aaron is a good friend and always will be.
Ronda, never saw me when I was working on this truck, I would work all day and return to the shop at night to finish it. Aaron would come from work and help. A total of about 860Hrs time. This truck ran down the road the first time. It ran so good, before I got the front end lined up I had to eat a set of front tires. I fugue the truck's weight is about 1900 pounds. All I can say is it moves out. We are building a new 350 for it about 400 hp. I have named the truck "JOHNNY ONE TIME"
The donor car was a 1979 Chevy Nova it went through two paint jobs and all kinds of rebuilding. The 1979 Chevy had three motors in it, the first motor was put together wrong by some builder that did not know what He was doing. The second motor was a Chevy ZZ4 crate motor, the third motor was the charm, it was a 454 big block 430 hp.
ZZ4 Crate Motor
454 Big Block Chevy
The 1979 Nova with the Big Block, what a sleeper this was, Aaron put the motor in this car in one night.
You could never tell it ever had a Big Block Chevy in it.
The next project was a 1972 Chevy Nova SS the car came with a 350 small block 4 speed transmission someone put in it, but the codes called for a 350 turbo automatic.
I just wanted to see if I could do it, so Aaron and I put the best of the best motors in it. We turned it into a something, of a Yenko 427 Nova
This is a tight fit and requires hedders to make the engine fit .
Front view of the car. This ends My story on building cars for now.
