"HiFi/Stereo Demos" Recordings

In the early 60's, a friend's family bought some hi-powered stereo equipment. They had this record. When his parents were away he would play it at very high volumes. It sounded like freight trains rumbling through their living room! However, there was concern that it might hurt his hearing.

Years later I learned that he died at a railroad crossing. The surviving passenger said he didn't hear the on-coming the train.

Bob Prescott entertains us with very realistic vignettes in sound.

My favorite is the Russian Roulette loser blowing his brians out!

This technical album is designed to de-bug your HiFi system.

Orkin Exterminators featured here include Stan Kenton and Pete Rugolo...

While playing this record, I thought there was something wrong with my balance control.

However, the liner notes disclosed that the RCA recording engineer was deaf in one ear.

Anything and everything one might want to hear in Stereo is found within this British recording - including an on-site interview with a Queen's Palace Guard...
