Recommended Accommodations

These hotels are all less than a quarter-mile away from The Dance Street Ballroom, have free parking, and are very easy to find.  Our facility is also close to downtown and many other hotels that are near enough for a good walk or an inexpensive cab ride.

Oxford Suites Downtown - 115 W. North River Dr., Spokane, Washington  RES: (800) 774-1877, PHONE: (509) 353-9000
I like this hotel best for its boutique feel at reasonable rates.  A hot breakfast buffet is included with every room, and they have a cocktail hour as well.  They also have a shuttle and group sales rates.

Holiday Inn Express - 801 N Division Street, Spokane WA
I've never stayed at this HIE, but I've had good luck with their consistency in other places.

Red Lion Hotel at the Park - W. 303 North River Drive, Spokane, WA RES: (800) Red-Lion; PHONE: (509) 326-8000

A Few Things To Do While You're Visiting

Take a walk through Riverfront Park and enjoy the downtown shopping and restaurant districts.  I love these local restaurants and bars in particular: Herbal Essence Cafe, Zola, Isabella's, The Blue Fish, Mizuna, Far West Billiards, Steelhead, and Raw.  For cheaper eats head over to the Gonzaga University district on Boone (turns into Sharp) and Hamilton.  David's Pizza and Ionic Burrito both have delicious food and tasty beverages.

There's a streetcar shuttle that runs from the Arena parking lot (across from Dance Street) to downtown for a very small fare.  Remember to bring your parking meter money if you're driving downtown, or park in the River Park Square parking garage.  The easiest entrance to the garage is heading west on Spokane Falls Blvd., the northern most arterial through downtown Spokane.  Take the Division Street exit.

Looking for something outdoorsy to do while you're in town?  Take a stroll or ride along the paved
Centennial Trail that runs along the Spokane River, or get more adventurous and explore one of our great local hikes.  We recommend Riverside State Park or the Dishman Mica Natural Area for something not too strenuous or time consuming.

Enjoy your time in Spokane!
