I have the pleasure of writing my column “after” Reverend Doris writes her’s and compiles the rest of the information. I let whatever it is I’m going to write about “gel” for the two months in between, and more often than not Doris has touched on what has begun to surface. This month, being spring and all, “change” had been bubbling forth all over the place.
We have had a great deal of change at our center in making it fresher, our website had been totally revamped (for those of you who have taken a look, please send me ideas for other enhancements), I’ve even taken it so far as to begin changes to the newsletter layout.
Change is part of life, without it, life is rather dreary, and by not changing we are performing a disservice to the Divine source that created us! Change hit me, along with an incredible sense of beauty on my way to and from the Center one Saturday in April. The route I normally take from my house a few minutes from downtown, up the hill and to a winding stretch of road called Southeast Blvd. Carved from the side of hill, surrounded by houses tucked into pine trees, moss covered basalt outcroppings, wildflowers reaching to the sky. On this particular Saturday, it hit me like a brick along side the head! I truly live in an incredibly beautiful world. Especially her in the Inland Northwest where I reside.
Ever since that day, nothing quite seems the same, people have a glow about them, animals are more “alive”, the land, trees, sky, rain laden clouds around me have textures and colors that I had not paid attention to at this level, and I feel, well, peaceful.
There’s been a change going on from within me over the past several months. It’s probably been going on for much longer, lifetimes even. From what I see, there’s a change going on from within you too. Change is good, better than that, it’s Divine, because you’re Divine, so change is Natural. Embrace it, Emanate it, Be It!
Infinite blessings to you and yours -
