Not So Random Thoughts...
May / June 2001

The newsletter is layed out, edited, printed, folded, addressed, and by now Ada has taken it out to the Post Office. We had to trim the size down to control costs, and my little corner has been moved online for the time being.

Seeing as I maintain the website, I may write more often - and longer! No limits on space! I can get as "wordy" as I want! Seriously though, there are so many out there that are "looking" for something - if the words that come through me on in to this column touches someone that reads them in some way to nudge them along the path a little more, then I've accomplished something.

As I write this, our family is feeling the loss of our oldest cat, Gallagher. In his prime, Gallie was a strapping 18 pound black bundle of love. Jorgi and I brought him into our lives while we were in college, before we married. He was the runt of the litter, and no one else wanted him. He pounced on our feet from a potted plant - we were hooked. When we had our '66 VW Camper Bus, Mr. Gallagher had a carpeted spot on the icebox, behind Jorgi that had a nice view out the side window. He would lay there and talk to us about what he saw, and take naps with his head on Jorgi's shoulder. He was our first "baby" and went most everywhere with us before we added human babies. He's been a wonderful part of our lives for a month shy of 15 years and will miss him running to greet us as we drive up, and that "Mat" in place of the traditional "meow". We are comforted that Gallagher is "survived" (I've always wondered why they use that word in obits as if some great accident had happened...) by three daughters, two lovable mutts, three other cats, two birds and the two of us. It isn't quiet often at our house.

On to brighter things! Our journey - it's made of meetings and partings, and meetings again. There are times in our lives that we have certain spirits in them, and then we go our separate ways. Then years later, our paths cross again! This has been happening as of late. I have been encountering wonderful people that I have had the honor of having them in my life for some reason or another, and now they are back! And we are both so much further down our Spiritual paths - especially that we KNOW we're on a path - that we once again require the presence of each other for a reason or lesson we are in the process of unfolding.

I'm looking forward to the renewed friendships, they will help me in knowing that the loss of a dear friend, although a rough spot for a while, need not put a halt to seeing what lies beyond the next bend.

Infinite blessings, and More!-

Tim
