Squirrels looking for warm winter homes
Acorn kit $10
This kit contains ten acorns, 1 oz fragrance oil, and one unmounted rubber stamp squirrel. These 1" unfinished wooden acorns are ideal for scenting with fragrance oil to produce rich wood tones on pleasantly fragrant 3-d decorations. Simply place acorns in plastic bag with fragrance oil and leave overnight to soak up oil. Fragrance oil may seep through plastic bag so do set in a glass or metal container, not on a wooden surface. Where there are acorns squirrels can typically also be found, so a small squirrel rubber stamp is included to decorate either the acorns themselves or an attached card. To stamp unscented acorns, place stamp face up on a sheet of paper on a table. Ink stamp by patting with ink pad (this is why there is paper underneath the stamp). Start at one end of the squirrel and roll across as well as up and down to stamp on this rounded acorn. Memories permanent dye ink was used for these acorns. Caution: ink lines may become less distinct if stamped acorn is also soaked in fragrance oil. Fragrant acorns, packaged in a bag with a tiny bit of raffia, moss, or dried flowers and tied with a ribbon make a very attractive gift. Also great additions to wreaths or other room decor.
