'Feeding the Fish' is a stunning tear-jerker of a poem, and I give
thanks
to the author for her amazing technique of combining beautiful, transitional
phrases and symbolism. The imagery is breathtaking. (ie. "the
matress
slightly hollowed / like grass where deer bed down / i dream the pattern
of
the pillow cases") The poem is a post-Requiem beauty, and the
simple
act of feeding Mulder's fish is brought to life with love and realism
through
Scully's angst-ridden mind. Who knew so much could come to mind while
feeding
goldfish? Wonderful writing, and if I were so inclined to give this
poem a
rating between 1-5, I would most definitely rate it a 5. :)
