Behind the Glass
by
Amethystto the forgotten
bypassed and invisible
isolated
inside a glass
within a glass
inside a glass
that light falls short
of touchingto the unseen
who know themselves
solely by distorted shadows
cast on convoluted wallsto the lost
who only wanted
a way in
and then
only a way outthere is a place
further, deeper in
like the heart
of an imploding star
inside the glass
within the glass
inside the glass
where nothing
is everythingwhere a falcon
with deformed
and battered wings
limps along
an obsidian trail
toward an unbiased mirror
that reflects trulya falcon soaring
on perfect feathers
in unfathomable light
